Fine Art Photography

Fine Art Photography goes beyond the literal representation of a scene or subject. Captured by camera and lens, Fine Art Photography is the vision of an artist utilizing these instruments along with uncommon perspective, manipulation of light, length of exposure, post processing, and production in order to complete their vision and create art.

Landscapes  & Seascapes

Artistically capturing the beauty of our natural world to create art that expresses feelings of happiness, relaxation, excitement or wonder. Creating high quality imagery rich in detail showcased in the highest quality, high definition acrylic prints available to be enjoyed in homes, offices, hotels, restaurants and other fine businesses throughout the world is the pinnacle of my profession.

Locational

While travel was the inspiration that began my journey into professional photography, I'm continually adding to my portfolio by capturing famous landmarks and locations in uncommon compositions and perspectives in an artistic and creative manner.

Portraiture  &

Fine art portraiture is when an artist utilizes photography as the medium for creative expression capturing creative moments that showcase the essence, personality, idenity and attitude of their clients.

                 Special Events

Utilizing art and creativity to showcase the dynamic world of motorsports by capturing the beauty of the lines, curves and shapes while showcasing the action-packed, high speed nature of this sport that we all love.

Luxury Real  Estate

Meet the Artist

It all started with a dream...

My name is Eric W. Peterson, and I thank you for this opportunity to share my work with you. The top image of me was taken candidly by my loving wife as she and our two teenage boys passed by during their group tour of Upper Antepole Canyon in Page, Arizona in early July of 2018. This image will always have great significance for me as it not only captured a moment in my life that for so long had only been a dream, but also visually represents one of the most important check marks I've ever been lucky enough to place on my bucket list.

The moment I saw my first image of Antelope Canyon many years before, I knew it was a place I would have to visit not even knowing at the time where in our great world it was even located. This journey itself started very early in life as a young artist experimenting with all sorts of mediums and expressions of art. Finding solace working with pens and pencils, producing some of my best work with charcoal and ink. All while developing a love for the creation of art itself, and a greater love in sharing it with others.

After an abreviated stay as a student of Visual Communications in the early 90's at a neighboring states art school, I quickly found myself caught up in all things life including marriage, children, and a blossoming career in professional sales. Although life was great in so may ways, I was definately missing something.  Afetr 20  years of chasing income I undertook my own personal challenge and rebranded myself as an owner/operator of a custom interiors and design company that allowed artistic creativity to reenter my life. It was during these chapters of life that I felt more confident than ever and in control of all things me. Continuing to push myself, the new challenge became the pursuit of combining both profession and passion in a way that I had only once dreamt.

In early February of 2018 this personal challenge began manifesting itself in the form of my first professional camera purchase. After half of my lifetime pointing and clicking with may diffent forms of equipment, I knew that this years upcoming trip to Arizona was going to require something a whole lot better. Along with this equipment purchase came a very personal and specific goal to take what I and others would consider an epic photograph. After some extensive research, careful planning, and an accelerated crash course in professional photography, I was scheduled for a guided professional photographers tour of Upper Antelope Canyon during our upcoming visit to the area.

On this day I was one of nine photographers being guided by two Navajo professionals who presented the slot canyon to our group by securing the canyons most photgraphical areas. Some of which were during the vey limited moments that the light beams shine down onto the canyon walls and floor from the mid summer sun passing directly over the canyon above. This was truly one of the most magical places I'd ever been. To have had the opportunity to photograph it with professional equipment during these rare and fleeting moments of light in this incredibly special place was surely a dream come true. I am forever grateful to all the menbers of the Navajo Nation for this opportunity that I will cherish for the rest of my life. A special thanks to my wife and children for their unwavering support of this dream and personal pursuit of passion.

Now living in cental North Carolina, by way of northern Ohio, I have spent the last several years traveling and adding to my portfolio of images. I personally invite you to explore my photography and would be honored for you to follow along on this journey as I continue these pursuits of passion by capturing beauty and creating art.
